Many say that camping is fun, and it is. However, there are moments when it gets boring. This usually happens when you do not plan your activities ahead of time. There are also instances when campers become very disappointed when they plan to do something but the site does not allow such activity.
If you do not want to spoil your camping plans, here are some of the tips that you can follow:
- Research the campsite where you plan to go. Most of them have websites, check for their rules and regulations. It is important that you know where you are heading so that you can plan the activities you can do. If there is a lake, you can bring your fishing rod and go fishing. If there is a cave you can explore, you can probably check it out. This will also help you decide what type of dual fuel lanterns to use. If the area is not too dark, you can bring battery lanterns instead of propane.
- Plan your activities ahead of time. This is a way to make sure that you do not run out of activities to do. This is why knowing where you are going is important. You can schedule your activities according to the different location. When you plan to do something, make sure that the facilities are available.
- Always have a plan B just in case your first plan does not work. Even when you are having fun, it pays to have a backup plan. If you bring extra batteries for your coleman lantern, you have to have an extra idea in terms of your fun activities. Have a list of nearby sites just in case you do not like your first choice. Bring other tools for recreation so that you will have something to use when you are bored.
- One of the reasons why a person does not get the chance to have fun is because he is too busy. He is the one who negotiates with the site coordinator. He is in charge with almost all the equipment.
If you want to have fun, delegate the tasks. Share the load to some of your friends. Assign someone to take charge of the recheargeable lantern and the rest of the camping gear. Assign the planning of activities to another so that you will not have to think and do everything.
- Change your camping destinations from time to time. Many get bored because they see the same site over and over again. Look for new place to camp. New places have new sites to explore and new activities to do. You will surely have new experiences when you go to new places.
Always keep in mind that you are entitled to have fun. It only takes careful planning and delegation of duties. If something does not go your way, do not let it hinder you from having fun. Proceed to your next plan. Nature is too beautiful to let a few glitches stop you from enjoying its wonder. |
