I am going camping gear in a few weeks and I need to find a good Coleman lantern. How do I know which one is right for me? I am going to the lake and I need a lantern or a couple of lanterns for my camp sight and for getting around at night. So please help me find the right one. I will point out several types, what they run on and some features that I found that they come with, but because there are so many I need some help finding which one is more of a benefit for me.
For example here are some types that say that they run by different types of fuel: there are Coleman butane lanterns, kerosene lanterns, propane lanterns, gas lanterns, and the Coleman Northstar dual fuel lantern amongst others that are fuel generated. All of these promise quality adjustable lighting, that they are steady meaning that they won´t cause accidents, they come with a regulated pressure valve to control the flow of fuel, and they operate on a cylinder tank so which one is better?
Then there´s the instastart propane lanterns which are good for getting it going really quickly without they come with the replaceable tank of gas for being able to easily dismantle and install another tank to keep your lighting going for awhile. Some of the instastart propane lanterns come with a easy carrying case which is great for assuring protection for your lantern from hard bumps hence breaking it.
I also saw that there are Coleman battery operated lanterns, which you can chose from led camping lanterns, rechargeable camping lantern, rechargeable lanterns, fez rechargeable remote control lanterns or various other types of Coleman battery operated lanterns. These are great because I don´t have to use fuel of any sort keeping from accidents with the fuel leaking out or minor worries that I might have of their safety.
Too, I found that there are electric lanterns that can be plugged in if I am in a place where electric can be used, outdoor lanterns, outdoor wall lanterns or other Coleman camping lanterns which are designed for further comfort or luxury which also vary can vary in types of fuel or use as well but can be hung, or put on a Coleman lantern stand which can help in lighting up my camp sight with the convenience of having where to put it. Some come with their own carrying case so this can be of a very important advantage. All Coleman camping lanterns no matter what they use, have replaceable parts and/or tanks, or batteries so that I won´t be without light on my camping outing. So back to my first question...Which Coleman lantern is better for me? It is difficult to decide, but I do know that whatever one or ones I decide to purchase I will be sure to have a great camping time knowing that I picked the right one. |
